Assortment of top quality semi sweet aromatic wines
Black label. |
High maturity of grapes and wine processes, which preserves aroma and remaining of sugar, enable the birth of top quality semi-sweet aromatic white wines. Their richness is in distinctive sort smells, rich and mature acids and a little lower alcohol degree.
Sauvignon
|

|
This old French wine sort was first planted on various Maribor sites by the archduke Janez. Most certainly, he did not make a mistake, as Sauvignon became a very popular white vine in Slovenia from which high quality wines are produced in all winegrowing regions. When the grapes are ripe its berries are full of small black dots. Vinag’s semi-sweet Sauvignon is an elegant representative of its kind with yellowish green colour. Its bouquet is very specific and is reminiscent of black currant, its taste being consistent and harmonious. With a filled glass of Sauvignon, we are ready for culinary delights with cheese, also their most spicy representatives. The wine goes well with veal meat medallions with a grape sauce, in which we can find rosines. The wine will surprise us with the daringness of its body. It should be served 10°C. |

Yellow Muscatel
|

|
This is one of the oldest vines cultivated and was even highly appreciated by pharaohs. Vinag’s sites seem to be a good site for growing Muscatel. In Slovenia this wine has a long tradition as a high-quality white wine with a rich bouquet reminiscent of muscat. Semi-sweet Muscatel wine has a rich yellow colour and is distinguished by its unmistakable muscat aroma. We are slightly surprised by the presence of a citrus smell, because we expect its characteristic muscat aroma. The rich taste is a typical attribute of the wine, but a mild acidity can also be noticed, which makes it even more enchanting. The semi-sweet Muscatel goes well with goose liver, lamb, and is delicious with tarragon roll - "potica". It is also a delicious wine that can be served as a "conversation" wine in a pleasant company of people who treasure temperament and the charmy culture of heart. It should be served at 10°C. |
Welsh Rizling
|

|
The Welsh Rizling is the most commonly produced wine in Slovenia and produces extraordinary wines in the wine slopes of Vinag. As a wine kind it is well known in sort wines, which enchant with their simple character, although it can also be used for predicate wines and a long ripening in the bottle. The Welsh Rizling as a predicate wine has a distinctive yellow colour of sometimes such intensity that we could say, it is golden. The aroma is reminiscent of hey or ripen figs, the taste is characteristically for a predicate wine. The wine is full bodied, with a noble ripening and a indelible harmony of all substances, which combined themselves together during the ripening of the high quality wine. Such a wine should be served to noble, ripen cheese and it’s also recommendable to goose liver. It should be served chilled on a temperature of 10 °C.

White Rizling – Piramida
|

-
Vintage: 2006
-
Alcohol: 12,5 vol%
-
Reducing sugar: 29 g/l
-
Wine acid content: 6 g/l |
The White Rizling Piramida is a high-quality wine, which ripens on the steep slopes of the hills of Maribor, more precisely on a very famous hill, which is called Piramida and from which it has its name. The steep slopes are one of the best wine producing areas and enable perfect ripening. The cultivation is still performed by hand; therefore the wine is even more appreciated. When we respectfully keep it in our mouth, in order to make the feeling last as long as possible – the parting is a very lasting one – we recognize the fullness of its body and the balanced elegance between pleasant acid and dry extracts. Therefore Vinags semi-sweet White Riesling is recommended to be served with sweet dishes. It should be served rather cooled at 10°C.
