Assortment of top quality semi dry wines

Green label.

Pinot Blanc

  • Vintage: 2004
  • Alcohol: 11 vol%
  • Reducing sugar: 10 g/l
This sort is easily recognised in the vineyard because of its beautifully shaped grapes with medium-sized berries, which allure us with their charm. This white vine flourishes on Vinag’s sunny slopes around Maribor. Its quality enables the production of a top quality dry wine. The colour of the wine is greenish-yellow, with slight reflections of golden-yellow. The bouquet is reminiscent of quince, sometimes even honey. This is a sign for the high-quality and is characteristically for Vinag’s range of Pinots. Already at the first sip the wine presents its rich and harmonious taste that is unlikely to be easily forgotten. The semi-dry Pinot Blanc goes well with different kinds of white meat as well as with tender sauces. It should be served at 10°C.

Kerner

  • Vintage: 2004
  • Alcohol: 11 vol%
  • Reducing sugar: 10 g/l
Kerner is a relative newcomer to Slovenia, first established in the eighties, and even later as a quality wine. Kerner is a crossbreed of the red vine Trollinger and White Riesling. The vine gives a harvest of large, sweet and aromatic grapes. This is also a characteristic of the wine produced from Vinag’s sites around Maribor, which later matures in Vinag’s unique wine cellar. Kerner’s colour is greenish-yellow, with a more yellow keynote. The wine is reminiscent of White Riesling, although it has not much in common with the wine. It also reminds us of a slight Muscat bouquet and that makes the wine even more special. The full body of the wine, gives the wine its full flavour, it also shows its moderately rich acids. This is an excellent wine, which remains present in our mouth for a long time and whose harmonious character cannot be easily forgotten. In gastronomy it is often combined with white meat, mild sauces, and nut rolls, provided they are not too sweet. It should be served at 10°C.

Pinot Gris

  • Vintage: 2006
  • Alcohol: 11,5 vol%
  • Reducing sugar: 14 g/l
  • Wine acid content: 7 g/l
This renowned white vine is a member of the Pinot family, whereas Pinot Gris is a mutation of the red Pinot Noir. The ripened grapes predominantly show a light greyish-red colour. Vinag’s Pinot Gris wines have a long tradition as wines that are extremely suitable for aging in the bottle. They can reach excellent vintages. Proof of that can be found in Vinag’s rich wine archive. The Pinot Gris has a yellowish colour and a slightly fruity flavour, reminiscent of pears. It is a very complex wine, with a strong body and harmonized taste and an extraordinary elegance, as if the wine has a breeze of silk in it. Once tasted its ultimate taste and rich bouquet can never be forgotten. Its complex character harmonizes well with the most complex culinary combinations, including tender veal and cheeses. It should be served at 10°C.

Foxy wine - LisiÄŤkino vino

  • Vintage: 2004
  • Cuvee – composition of wine kinds: Traminer,
    Yellow Muscatel and White Riesling
  • Alcohol: 11 vol%
  • Reducing sugar: 12 g/l
  • Skupne kisline: 6 g/l
The Foxy wine - Lisičkino vino (Mariborčan) is a wine which enchants us from the first sip on. It is a popular combination of excellent white kinds, ripening on Vinag’s best and famous sites around Maribor: White Riesling, Traminer and Yellow Muscatel. Like a bunch of flowers, these vines are combined into an excellent semi-dry wine. Each one contributes freshness, richness and a pleasant aroma to the whole. We can name the wine loveliness in a glass, as its bouquet and the taste of wine form a unique subtlety of different aromas. Its colour is dark yellow, the aroma of all three sorts can be experienced easily, and its taste is rich and harmonious. This wine should be served at 10°C.

Chardonnay

  • Vintage: 2004
  • Alcohol: 11 vol%
  • Reducing sugar: 10 g/l
The wine, which conquered the world, also immediately attracted the wine lovers in Slovenia. We can say the Chardonnay is a wine with such strong and healthy body, that admirers are easily attracted to him. This sort enables a production of elegant, semi-dry wines.  The wine has a distinctive greenish-yellow colour. In a glass, its slow and oily movement tells us that we hold in our hands a rich full-bodied wine. Its bouquet is a combination of a variety of tastes and it’s reminiscent of a ripe yellow gooseberry. To our delight, its rich taste reveals a harmony of ingredients. Because of its mature and elegant poise, it goes well with the most demanding culinary combinations. It should be served at 10°C.

White Riesling

  • Vintage: 2004
  • Alcohol: 11 vol%
  • Reducing sugar: 10 g/l
White Riesling is a high quality white vine cultivated especially in the Podravje wine region. Winegrowing sites around Maribor seem to be the right place for the ripening of its grapes. Vinag’s semi-dry White Riesling reveals the richness of sunshine that helped ripen its grapes with its golden-yellow colour. The overpowering bouquet of acacia enchants us immediately, reminding us of the fact that this is one of the wines with the largest palette of bouquets. When we are respectfully keeping it in our mouth in order to make the feeling last as long as possible – the parting is certainly a long one – we recognize the fullness of its body, a balanced elegance between pleasant acid and dry extracts. Vinag’s semi-dry White Riesling is the epitome of wine harmony and thus rather demanding for a top-notch culinary experience. It is the perfect wine for the best seafood: freshwater fish and goes well even with tender carpaccio. It should be served at 10°C.
